Rangers

Young Leaders

and

Senior Section

14+
Years
Guides usually move on to Rangers at 14, although in theory they could remain as Guides up to the age of 26! Ranger uniform is similar to Guides but in turquoise instead of Royal blue, and badge sashes are not worn; instead Rangers wear their Promise badge, county badge etc, on badge tabs similar to Guiders'.
People who wish to stay in the movement but do not have a Ranger Unit close by can help at the younger sections and these people are called Young Leaders.

Guiders

and

Other Adult Leaders

Age Range
18 - 65
Guiders are all volunteers and after a period of training they are issued a Warrant to work with a particular pack or unit. Guiders usually wear informal uniform of blue sweater and navy trousers or jeans, with navy skirt and jacket over a blue striped shirt for formal wear. The colour of the stripes edging a Guider's badge tab denotes the section she is working with - green for Rainbows, yellow for Brownies, blue for Guides and Turquoise for Rangers.
Other Adults wishing to stay connected to the movement can join a Trefoil Guild, these do not wear a uniform but do have a Badge Tab and Promise Badge
